This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
These SEL tools will make a difference in my students' learning because literacy creates a bond during our school day, while I read to my students every day during our school year. This project will create self-mindfulness and management for my students. They will learn about different emotions that we all experience during our day and how to communicate with one another about their feelings. Communication is a strength that everyone needs to practice to establish our needs and wants with one another. The skills that these tools will provide to my students are life skills, and they will take what they have learned with them for the rest of their lives.
