This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our class is a diverse class of 20 students who perseveres everyday. Of the 20 students, 3 languages are spoken: English, Spanish, and Arabic and 15 of the students are English Language Learners.
These students are witty, energetic and never fail to surprise their teachers everyday with their brilliance.
These students in the classroom love learning and are always willing to go the extra mile to improve their learning. They are always motivated, ready to learn and tackle any given task.
My Project
Please help provide a variety of books that will help my kindergarten students to use strategies to help them through difficult times. I will use these books as read alouds and their topics to open up decisions during out restorative circle time. My students can talk about how they’re feeling and what they learned that my help them work through those feelings, especially feelings such as sadness, anxiety, and anger. These books will help my students during our restorative circles learn to identify what they’re feeling and learns ways to express themselves.
