My Project

The pandemic has shown us how social emotional growth is much needed. As an educator and counselor as well, working at a school that supports social emotional learning, I believe it is critical that I make sure that my students understand their feelings so they can cope, focus, and self-regulate. Once students social emotional needs are met they are able to learn. Building a relationship with my scholars and teaching them coping skills and strategies with under stress and pressure is my goal.

I have chosen some tools to teach my pupils coping skills to help them succeed and gain limitless hope for survival.

My students are amazing and want to live their best lives. At times, their environment and home life cause them to struggle with social emotional learning which impacts their behaviors and relationships. These materials will help them learn cooperation, empathy, and emotional regulation. All of the games will support this style of learning in a fun way. This is a safe outlet for my scholars to learn. I want to ensure that my students social emotional journey is pleasant and will help foster healthy/sound emotions. Some of my students have faced or are facing trauma in areas of their life. I want to ensure they have a safe place. They will gain skills to help them in school, life, and beyond as adults.
