My Project

As a school psychologist, my goal is to teach my students coping skills and provide them with opportunities to express feelings, engage in play, and develop peer relationships.

My students have varying disabilities but most have an education classification of autism.

Working with this population requires creativity in using a variety of materials as the students all have individual needs and preferences and it is important to be able to give them the opportunity to explore as many resources to see which impact their learning most effectively and reduce behavior.

Help me give my students the opportunity to express emotions and creativity as they have special needs and require various modalities to express their wants, needs, and feelings. Through play with magna tiles and Legos and through exploring activities, my students are most successful.
