My Project

I am a Special Education Teacher and I teach an advisory class. I often see my students struggle with their emotions. They often come to me to speak about their home life and the different challenges they face every day.

I absolutely love that my students are comfortable with coming to me and I also love the fact that they are transparent and aware about where they are in life.

In completing this project, I hope that I can teach my students how to cope and manage their anger. Additionally, I hope that these coping mechanisms will keep them safe. I truly hope that this project will create a core memory for my scholars and they will look back and be thankful for the skills they have developed in high school.

I am extremely proud of my students. They work hard and the play even harder! They complete their work, and they love celebrating each milestone. This is why completing this project is special to me. It will allow me to help them develop into young adults. I thank you ahead for all of your support and being a part of our class’ journey.
