Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our incoming 6th graders are very anxious about transitioning into middle school. During lunch time I want to provide them with a foosball table, a floor seating area, and snacks cart, and decorate the cafeteria with backdrops and lights.

Having this welcoming environment will enable my students to be less anxious and provide a nurturing and fun lunchtime.

I love to see students engage in an appropriate manner and to move around in the cafeteria. Having a flexible seating area will motivate and stimulate conversation circles and improve socialization skills. Students will also work on their financial literacy by assisting in the fundraising sales of snacks.
