Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a Title I school in New York City. My Pre-K students are energetic and eager to learn. Pre-K is a critical age in which children are growing their fine motor skills, becoming social and learning new experiences.

In this class, we build a community around what we have in common and our shared experiences.

We are part of a larger school that celebrates inclusion. The work we do in this classroom is building healthy relationships, developing our fine motor skills and learning through art and music.

My Project

These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students really enjoy-I read on the carpet to them everyday! Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. All of these books have been chosen with my students in mind. .

With these new books, my students will be able to appreciate our differences as well as our seminaries.

This new library will have a variety of books that will allow them to explore and learn.

They will also be able to choose books that they can relate to. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
