Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Homework passes are an important and valuable incentive to encourage positive mental health and taking breaks. I also included a chair and a microwave so students can feel comfortable in my room, take breaks when needed for mental health and use my microwave if needed during lunch tutoring. I also included STEM challenge cards to encourage fun projects to help promote self accomplishment. Students will work in teams to design and build a STEM project using limited materials. They will face various design challenges along the way, but the focus will not only be on engineering and problem-solving but also on cultivating SEL competencies like empathy, communication, and collaboration. I have incentives included like candy, toys, and stickers to keep them motivated in the project.
