Social and Emotional Exploration

My Project

My students were impacted by COVID-19 because they were unable to be with other children to express their imagination and problem solve. Their social skills were hindered due to the lack of interactions. Their fine motor and large motor skills were hampered due to the fact of not having access to the materials they needed at home to work on these skills. The resources I requested will help my children to express themselves through art (using the paint, collage materials and glue sticks) and imaginative play with blocks (to build and show how they are feeling and to use their imagination to build buildings or other items). They will be able to work on their fine motor skills with the centers that I have chosen to enhance these skills (pinching, grasping, scooping, painting, etc) and prepare them for kindergarten. The laminator will be used to preserve their art projects that they have created and make it possible for them to create wonderful gifts for the families (Such as Mother's Day gifts, Christmas gifts, etc). All of these issues will help my children to become better prepared socially, emotionally and academically for Kindergarten.
