Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our student-athletes are members of a successful soccer program that has won state, made two state appearances, and won the city championship this year.

Our soccer program is one giant family.

The boys consider the team their second family.

The student-athletes are committed to soccer, each other, and their academics. They are always striving to be the best student-athletes that they can be, and our program is constantly pushing them to be their very best selves.

My Project

Our soccer program is one of the best programs in the city and the state. However, every year our student-athletes are not equipped with the personal athletic wear that their peers from other schools have.

Many of our student-athletes cannot afford the socks for the season.

They are provided the uniform through the school, however, socks are up to the families to purchase and, unfortunately, many of our families cannot afford the extra expense.

Our soccer family consists of three teams with 85+ student-athletes. This project will help these student-athletes have a season where all athletes are matching on the field.

At this school, more than 50% of students are Black, Latino, and/or Native American, and more than 50% come from low-income households. Learn how your donation to this school supports a more equitable education.
