My Project

I am a lucky teacher who gets to teach first-grade students who come to school each day with active, bright minds that have unique ideas and innovative ways to accomplish many things!

I have found in my teaching experience that the more hands-on items we use that they literally take off and soar!

Last year I was able to purchase some other manipulatives, and I was blown away by their creativity and the way we could use these same items in reading, writing, STEM, and science!

This is why this year, I would like to obtain more items that will ignite their imaginations and curiosity such as the ZOOBS building sets, Flexisticks, and building discs. We are also in need of butterfly eggs to engage in the butterfly life cycle. I have also been taking courses in the Science Of Reading and would like to obtain Science Of Reading first grade student materials through Teachers Pay Teachers so we can use these in the classroom to increase reading skills and soar even more! Other items such as white card stock, stencils, and gel pens help to spark imaginations and allow for the creative process to flow and build.
