Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students will use these new titles to enhance their reading comprehension. They will use the material to create book clubs, book reviews, and book reports. These new titles will capture their attention and make them use their imaginations again. They will master the art of reading with your help.

My students are receiving their education in a Title One funded school.

I want them to have the same opportunities as schools on Wall Street or on Fifth Avenue. They have the potential to be great students. All they need is a little extra help and some new materials to get them on the right track. I have a variety of learners in my classroom. They all have so many different interests, its hard to find things they all enjoy. With these new books, reading will become exciting for them again.

My Project

These new titles will capture their attention and make them use their imaginations again. Students will work on drawing conclusions, making predictions, making inferences, asking questions, and developing skills to become better readers. They will regain the love for reading with the variety of styles and genres.

My project will change the loves of some of my students because they will get the chance to read the books they have been asking for.

Not all families are willing to take them to the library or buy them the books that capture their interest. With this being the age of technology, I want students to get the scent of a crisp new book in their noses and the feeling of newly printed pages in their hands. Reading is a lost art and with some help, they can get the enjoyment and love of reading back.
