My Students

My classroom is a dual language fourth grade class. My students have a profound love for the arts, sciences, and literature. My students have a huge interest in reading. They enjoy getting lost in a book’s plot and diving deep into the characters themselves. They even go as far as relating themselves to the characters!

My students enjoy working in groups and are very active in the classroom setting.

As a teacher, this sense of independence is amazing to see. I would like to do my part by making sure that they have nothing to worry about other than developing themselves academically, socially, and emotionally.

My Project

The students in our classroom love reading. They work very hard in comprehension skills, which allow them to reach higher reading levels. My classroom library is filled with grade 4 reading level appropriate books. However the majority of my class reads well above grade level. providing them with these book additions to our library will engage them on a different level.

Academic success begins in reading; and so, by providing my students with different forms of literature, we are giving them the key to a successful school year.

I have selected each book to help students grow in their understanding of social sciences, problem solving and social norms.
