My Students

My students often begin school only days after entering the Unites States. For many, their entry into school is their first experience with American culture, academics, and the English language. Imagine starting school and not being able to understand what is being said and not being able to make yourself understood!

I teach in a Title I school with a high immigrant, low income population.

My students are incredibly hard-working and creative. It's a joy to help them achieve their best.

My Project

The materials in this project will help us to have a productive and safe school year. The project includes a voice amplifier to help the kids hear me over all of the machines that we have to keep up healthy and safe. Soap is a must as well as pencils.

Since we are all back in the classroom we need to stay safe and be productive!

We can't share supplies. We are all wearing masks and sitting in rooms with a multitude of machines that are running just to keep us healthy. It is a challenge to get through a lesson with everything going on.

This project will provide us with some very important basics. Pencils, soap, a mic, a reflective mirror for online work. A treasure of a book about our uniqueness for kids. All very important parts of our work this year.
