Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Shouldn't all children have access to arts education in their schools? I teach first grade in a public school in a high-need community in NY.

Unfortunately, my school lacks the resources and space necessary for a dance program. There is no auditorium and no gym. The only room large enough to teach dance in is the cafeteria, and mirrors cannot be placed on those walls.

We need mirrors on wheels, so that they can be stored safely in a closet during lunch periods and taken out later for after school dance programs. These mirrors will allow the students to see themselves as they learn different styles of dance, without exacerbating our school's already dire space issues.

Your help will ensure that our students have the resources necessary for a successful dance program. They deserve to have the same opportunities as others do for dance education. Thank you so much for your support!
