Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The JHS Wellness Center is a frequent hang out for some of the highest need students at our school. Students come to the Wellness Center seeking all kinds of support and resources from food to water, school supplies and clothes. Luckily, we often receives clothing donations.
Currently, all clothing donations are folded in the storage cabinets but this makes it hard for students to look through.
Having a space where we can display the various items we have would make everything much more easily accessible for students.
Additionally, students frequently come to the Wellness Center seeking snacks, and generally all snacks are purchased by our Wellness Center coordinator. Any and all snack donation support is greatly appreciated by all students and staff!
