This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Having deodorant and menstrual products available to my students will make them more likely to participate fully in PE class and raise their comfort level while they are here!
I have seen that the potential for sweating in class and not having access to deodorant has been a barrier for some of my students in physical education.
It is also common for students to not have appropriate menstrual products to make them feel comfortable participating fully in class.
These items will be available to any student and they will not have to ask for them. There may be some embarrassment in asking for an item, so I will have them out and available for students to help themselves.
