Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

Our student-athletes and coaches have been working hard to prepare for our second basketball season. Some of our players have never played on a basketball team. They are excited to be the first basketball team at our school. They have a uniform but not everyone has the proper sneakers to play this sport. As you know basketball is a lot of running back and forth on the court. I would like our first season to be an injury-free season. The sneakers purchased will not only keep them safe but also help boost the confidence of the entire team. Having new basketball sneakers will allow students to participate in conditioning and team events. Team sports can be beneficial to students.

Sports teaches teamwork, preparation, practice, sportsmanship, and leadership and promotes school spirit and school spirit extends to the classroom.

Our student-athletes will be prepared to give their all on the basketball court as a team. Please help this first-time coach provide all of the tools (basketball shoes) for us to succeed. I believe that we can get there with your help.
