Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are in a fifth grade gifted classroom. They come from warm and caring families. Two-thirds of my students have recently exited the ESOL (English Second Language Learner) program in the past year.

My students are eager and energetic learners that love to express themselves and take an active role in the learning process.

They love all aspects of schooling especially working in groups on laptops and hands-on science learning. Together, with my students, we are looking forward to an exciting year.

My Project

These materials will help turn my students into the authors and illustrators of their own books. They will be be able to take the camera on the go around school and capture learning in action. Then they will have the opportunity to publish their books.

They could also use the camera and accessories to make their own creative displays in class or on their projects.

Students could also capitalize on this new piece of technology to take a moment to create sweet tokens for their mothers or any female figure in their world for Mother's Day to show their love.

I know my kids will learn a lot about there world around them by being able to observe if more closely, even after the moment has passed.
