My students walk into my classroom every day full of life, ready to learn and excited for what is in store for them that day. I teach at a Title I school in New York, where one hundred percent of our students receive complimentary breakfast and lunch. Many of my students receive backpacks with supplies at the beginning of the school year, and our school also runs a food pantry for our families.
Our school serves students pre-K through fifth grades and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers, and a safe learning environment.
Our goal is to prepare our students for success in middle school, high school, and college. However, there are times when we do not have the supplies we need.
My Project
It is important for students to eat in order to maintain their focus and engagement during class. Please give my students snacks to help them continue to work without feeling hungry or tired because they were not able to eat before they came to school. Oftentimes, these snacks are taken home so they can enjoy them there. Many of my students do not have unlimited access to the food they need and these snacks will serve this purpose. They can enjoy them in school or at home. Thank you for your donation!
