My Project

I teach phonics to basic skills students every day of the week. These are the students that are in the most need academically and are multiple grade levels below in reading. I work with these students in small groups and I've found through the years that although a prize box of toys is enticing for a little while, the snacks are what interest them the most. My students need a lot of motivation and the snacks help do just that! It gives them something to look forward to and to work towards knowing they can fill their bellies after working hard during class.
