Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are middle school ICT students as well as ELL (English language learners).

At our school, we believe everyone can succeed.

Most of my students come from very low-level income housing and cannot afford basic supplies. Having snacks that I can give to my students will help them be able to wait until lunch.

My Project

My students have lunch at 1:15 p.m. By the time they go to lunch, many students are hungry and cranky. The majority of my students do not bring a snack to school and rely on the free school lunch.

A snack to help them get through the morning until lunch would be a wonderful treat for my students.

I would love to be able to provide a bag of chips or cookies to hold them over them over until lunch.

My students are a great group of kids and they would greatly appreciate having something to snack on.
