About My Students

We are a Family, We are a Community, We are our Brothers and Sisters Keepers.

My group of 8th graders have traveled together over the last 3 years. They are accomplished in their own rights. They have won state and regional competitions in underwater robotics and they continue to put their all in everything that they do.

THEY ROCK!!

Snacking has a bad rap. But as Middle School students snacking helps keep us motivated and full of energy. We need the energy for the long nights we spend perfecting our robots or for our long road trips during competition season.

Snacking gets a bad rap but its an important part of how we learn. Studying and working in groups is a huge part of what we do on a daily basis. It would be nice to have a surplus of goodies to go to in the event we didn't pack a snack or our parents couldn't afford to purchase them.

In Their Own Words

Our goal with this project is just trying to make sure that our teacher doesn't always have to buy snacks for us while we stay after school. We want to be helpful and show our teacher we can help and bring resources into the classroom. We also want to make sure there are snacks available for our fellow classmates who can't afford to bring them on a daily basis.

What we would like to do is to really show our classmates that we are a community and we share our resources. We are only as strong and as motivated as the person sitting next to us. If my classmates aren't fed, or are hungry than we as a community are hungry.

This project is so important to us because we want to make sure that all of us have what we need. Whether its snacks or paper we want to help those around us.

There is a problem with our fellow classmates being nervous or ashamed because they don't have money to buy the things they need. We want them to know that we have their backs.
