Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hi everyone! I have 27 first grade students this school year full of energy and most importantly eagered to learn. They love to read and learn many subjects. Overall they enjoy their classroom being full of fun activities and most importantly comfortable. Students learn multiple subjects throughout the day including physical education indoors and outdoors. They love reading and doing science experiments. They are very eager to learn every day and are learning to be the best that they can be. They love their classroom and that they learn something new every single day!

My Project

My students receive free lunch because they come from low income families. Many of them come to school hungry and the only meals they eat are the ones they receive at school. This year I have many students that stay with me during recess times because I give them snacks for completing work. I also teach after school tutoring. These students also receive snacks from me when coming to my tutoring sessions. Most of my students are in need of these snacks. It has been hard for me to buy snacks weekly and it has become a hardship. Please help my classroom receive snacks. Many thanks!
