This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These snacks will go toward contributing to the class's efforts toward community service through their food pantry. Our students have been contributing to this food pantry for the past 2 months and have realized the importance of keeping supplies stocked, itemized, and organized. The food pantry serves the greater school community, most notably our disenfranchised students, students who are unhoused, and students who are under the poverty line. Our three 6th grade classes have spearheaded this effort with inclusivity in mind as their efforts seek to bring the entire school community closer together through this food pantry.
