Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work at a Title 1 school and more than half of my students come from a low-income home. These snacks will help maintain my students focused, fueled, and motivated, especially for those kiddos that their parents might not have the resources to provide extra snacks.

I am tutoring my students during after-school who need that extra help with math to help improve and develop their comprehension, fluency, and skills.

This is a free service I offer 3 times a week. We stay in school for an additional two hours. My students eat lunch early and sometimes they skip eating, which means, by 3 o'clock, they will need a little something to hold them over until they go home at 5 p.m.

These snacks are an essential component of my students learning and I would love to be able to provide these snacks as a nice surprise and gesture for my kiddos that need that extra boost.

Your generosity can help my students have access to snacks to help them stay fueled, focused, and motivated during our after-school tutoring time.
