Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a dedicated special education teacher in a Title I school that works in a self - contained classroom with students with autism spectrum disorder. I have the privilege of working with incredible students who face unique challenges. Many of my students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. These students are full of potential, and with the right resources, they can thrive both academically and socially.
One crucial aspect of their success is ensuring they have access to nutritious snacks throughout the day.
Healthy snacks can make a significant difference in my students' ability to learn, help them better regulate their emotions, and minimize unsafe behaviors due to emotional dysregulation. Additionally, some of my students have food aversions and only like very specific foods, making it hard for them to eat the school breakfasts and lunches. Unfortunately, due to limited funding and resources, providing these snacks consistently is a challenge.
Your donation will directly impact my students by supplying them with the snacks they need to stay engaged, focused, and emotionally balanced.
