Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am an English teacher in a Title I school. That affords us free breakfast and lunch and provides laptops for every student on campus. While these resources are amazing, what we can't "fund" is social-emotional health and intrinsic motivation.

A majority of my students do not have the ability to bring a snack every day to school.

To have them available in the classroom will be a huge help. We all know how hard it is to focus on an empty stomach. My goal is for my students to know that they can always stop by my classroom for a snack when they are in need.
