My Project

My speech students are special education students in self-contained classes. We use snacks as motivators to communicate throughout the day. Students learn to request, reject and describe the snacks.

We have also been working on having them deliver snacks to other classes which provides communication opportunities throughout the school.

The students learn useful skills such as how to ask and answer questions, how to navigate around their environment, how to wait and how to listen.

These materials will be really helpful for my classroom and will make sure my students can do their best.
