My Project

Our students work very hard in this special ed. program to learn social skills to help them form meaningful interpersonal relationships with others and to learn how to cope with social situations that they find challenging. They, unfortunately, have experienced far too much negativity in their lives and have not been able to experience much success at school.

We celebrate every single success and work hard to make sure that learning is a positive experience for our students.

This includes a lot of positive reinforcement, a faculty devoted to Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, and a real understanding of these wonderful students and their challenges.

Snacks are a huge motivator and we are going to load these snacks up on a decorated cart and travel through the halls and let the students pick a snack! We hope that we can do it at least once a week! We have students with severe emotional and behavioral disorders and autism. We serve grades K through 8 in our building. Everyone in the building will benefit from this project!
