This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The snacks I am requesting will make significant difference in my UIL accounting students' learning experience by providing them with the energy and focus they need to succeed. My students stay after school for extended practice sessions. By offering snacks, I can help keep them engaged, motivated, and mentally alert during these crucial review sessions. A small but meaningful gesture, these snacks will create a positive and supportive learning envirinment where students can concentrate fully on mastering accounting concepts without the distraction of hunger.

The goal of this project is to support my students in their journey toward UIL accounting competition success.

By ensuring that they have the necessary nourishment, I hope to maximize their study time and enhance their problem-solving skills. These review sessions allow students to strengthen their understanding of complex accounting principles, refine their test-taking strategies, and build the confidence needed to perform well in competition. Ultimately, this project aims to create a structured and productive after-school program where students feel valued and encouraged to reach their full potential.

What makes my student special is their dedication, resilience, and enthusiasm for learning. Many of them balance a rigorous academic schedules, extracurricular commitments, and personal responsibilities, yet they choose to spend additional hours preparing for UIL competitions. Their determination to improve, willingness to support each other, and passion for academic excellence make them truly remarkable. By providing snacks, I am not only meeting a basic need but also showing them that their hard work is recognized and appreciated. This small investment in their well-being can have a lasting impact, fostering a sense of teamwork, motivation, and success in their UIL journey.
