Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I'm a high school math teacher, and I teach students that come from low-income families. Despite that, my students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! Each day, they come to school ready to try new things and take brave chances to grow both personally and academically.

Seeing my students persevere and struggle through each math problem makes me proud because they’re giving math a try.

Truly, they are my inspiration!

My Project

By providing the students with snacks, we can increase higher academic performance in the classroom.

A snack can help encourage concentration and re-energize tired students.

Snacks can help students be alert to do their best and keep our classmate climate as positive and low stress as possible. Students come to school to learn, and these snacks will ensure they will be focused and ready to learn.

Snacks help students focus on what they need to in the classroom. I know my students will love these granola bars, popcorn, cookies, and candy treats because the are always asking for snacks and requested these items.
