My Project

A lot of our English Leaner students are newcomer immigrants to the United States and face many barriers to accessing the education we provide. Some are in transitional housing situations and may not have consistent access to food, basic hygiene products and appropriate school materials.

My students have experienced insecure housing situations, interrupted schooling, and economic stressors that require additional support or tutoring from the school.

When students are taking advantage of these additional supports, they are often hungry or in need of someone who can resupply their basic school materials. Without fruit snacks, granola bars, chips and cookies, it is hard for the students to focus and remain motivated! That is where you come in! Support this project so that food is the last thing on the students' mind!

Celebrate Black teachers and kids! This project supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of students are Black.
