Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Long, cold school days and skipped meals often leave students struggling to stay energized and focused, which can negatively impact their ability to learn and engage in the classroom. By providing healthy snacks, especially to foster youth and students experiencing homelessness, schools can help meet basic needs, maintain steady energy levels, and enhance focus and participation. These small yet significant efforts create a foundation for a more supportive and productive learning environment.

Very often the children are hungry and can not concentrate on the task at hand.

Having easy to grab snacks are essential to provide the fuel to keep learning between breakfast, lunch, or even dismissal. My students are always asking if I have snacks for them. Having snacks donated to our class would be a great help since I try to buy snacks for them but it gets expensive. Any and all donations are very helpful!
