Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are respectful, funny, and hardworking kids who are always eager to learn. Many of them have special needs. However, they apply themselves to the tasks given and try their hardest to complete what is asked of them.

Unfortunately, we are in a Title I elementary school, which means that we do not always have the necessary materials/supplies that we need in order to complete/participate in certain learning activities.

As their teacher, I feel responsible to expose my students to fun and creative ways of teaching/learning.

My Project

These materials will make a difference in my students' learning because this is a Title I school and our students don't always bring something to eat throughout the day which then doesn't allow them to focus and perform to their full capacity. We start our learning schedule at 8am and their lunch isn't until 12:30pm. We work straight through, without any breaks throughout the day, 3 times a Week! Plus, they stay longer hours in school for test prep. Since my students have many challenges as it is, I feel like providing them with a snack a day would motivate them to work better, think clearly, and focus on their given task without being hungry throughout the day
