My Students

I teach 17 enthusiastic, motivated fifth grade students in a Title I School. The majority of the kids come from low income homes. Several of my students live with extended family (grandparents).

I have a diverse group of students with many different learning styles and they are eager to explore.

They all get the opportunity to teach a peer a concept their peer is struggling with, and they achieve this task respectfully. Despite all their differences, this class truly cares for each other and we have become a small family.

My Project

Skinny popcorn, Cheeze-its, granola bars, Frito Lay variety pack, Nutri-Grain bars and Grandma's Cookies are snacks my students will appreciate. Students who are making poor food choices or students who do not eat breakfast have a hard time focusing.

These snacks will help give the fuel my students need to be the best students they can be!

When their bellies are full they will be able to engage in learning. Student behaviors will improve as they will no longer feel agitated. The snacks will be an important energy boost for my students. Your donation would make a big difference for my students!
