Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Today I had to leave early and go to a doctors appointment when I was at the appointment I received an emergency message from a coworker in the school. They asked, "I know you usually give your kids snacks in the afternoon. Your kids are really upset right now and they don't seem to know why. Can I give them each a snack?" I responded with an adamant yes, and then got a response back from the teacher. The students are all smiles.
Snacks provide the students with a happy break that allows them to unwind, relax, and then push to meet objectives and goals.
Being ten years old and being asked of so much academically is hard. These snacks allow the students to manage their hunger and emotions. Once hunger and emotions are covered the work is a piece of cake.
