This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These snacks will support neurodiverse, newcomer, and emergent bilingual students who are learning English at a Title I school in Brooklyn, NY. Many of my students are living in shelters and all receive free lunch, these snacks would greatly benefit our efforts to create nurturing and supportive classroom environments.
Snacks during class can help maintain energy levels and focus, ensuring students are fully engaged in their learning, especially our neurodiverse and ADHD students who need additional support with staying on-task.
The fruit snacks, popcorn, cookies, and candies are greatly appreciated by our team of nine to support more than 75 students across grade levels.
