This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My wonderful second grade students are energetic, creative, knowledgeable, and curious! I teach a substantially separate classroom for students with Specific Learning Disabilities. My students are very picky eaters and many families are unable to provide preferred items for snack. I supply my classroom with many snacks throughout the school year to make sure all students have enough to eat.

Our classroom would benefit from having a supply of various snacks to help increase their focus, meet their basic needs, and motivate them for a special Friday treat.

This project will provide opportunities for my students to eat preferred food items, meet my students basic needs, and prepare them to be successful each day.
