My Project

Providing snacks may seem simple, but it plays a significant role in creating a supportive and effective learning environment.

For many students, access to snacks helps with self-regulation, giving them the energy and focus needed to manage emotions, stay calm, and engage in learning.

In our safe spaces, snacks serve as more than just nourishment—they become a vital learning tool. When students are hungry or struggling to regulate their emotions, having a snack available can provide the redirection they need to refocus and participate in classroom activities. This small act of care helps students feel supported, which is essential for their social-emotional growth.

By addressing basic needs, we create an environment where students feel safe, valued, and ready to learn. With access to snacks, they are better equipped to manage challenges, build resilience, and thrive academically and emotionally.
