This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
Snacks can be used in many different ways. My classroom consists of low-income families. Many of my students cone to school hungry. Even though they do get a lunch they tend to be hungry by the end of the day. Being able to give my students a snack at the end of the daybwould be great. This way they do not go home hungry.
They can be used in Math, Writing, Reading and for eating!!
It is amazing how snacks can be used in a classroom. Students love to sort them by color, size, and taste. They also love to talk to their friends about what they are doing while they are learning and eating.
They can also be used tlas a sensory maniplutive for writing and reading. Snacks can do a lot for my students.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
