Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from low-income households and many even below poverty line. I want to be able to provide a place where they feel comfortable and safe and be someone that can positively influence their lives.

Many of my students come from broken homes, shelters, and even homelessness.

Most of my students have limited to no access to computers or internet outside of our school building. Many students view the school as a way to escape their unfortunate lifestyles. With the budget cuts, it has made it difficult to fund student centered projects.

My Project

During these difficult times, my students are constantly coming in hungry and asking for snacks, headphones and hygiene products. The headphones will allow students to work independently without disrupting the other students in the classroom. My students will also greatly benefit from food packages to support them during their daily academic learning. I also want to teach them the importance of hygiene and basic life skills. With your support, I will be able to provide students who are in need with food and supplies while they are in school and at home.
