My Project

My students with disabilities work hard to keep up with their peers in the General Education setting. They are motivated to succeed but are often times held back by circumstances out of their control.

By providing students with back to school essentials such as snacks, notebooks and folders we will be setting students up for success.

September is a time of transition for students who are relearning routines and expectations after a summer of fun. My students who struggle with executive functioning, behavior regulation and processing disorders deserve all the support possible to help them succeed. Having access to a mid morning snack after missing breakfast can set the tone for the whole school day. Color coded schedules, notebooks and folders help to provide much needed visual supports for students who want to do well but struggle with organization.

These are simple but effective tools that I am confident will help my students succeed. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand and not worry about whether or not they have the supplies needed.
