Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is continuously receiveing newcomers. Many of the students are English language learners and/or come from low income areas who will benefit from a safe room. They will get support from staff on a one one one basis. Which will give them a calm and private area to express and support their social and emotional needs. Creating a safe room in our school is crucial, especially for our underserved community where students often carry heavy emotional burdens. Having this space is crucial for working on their mental health, which will have a domino effect in their everyday lives.
