Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are Special Education students of moderate to severe disabilities. For many people snacks provide a sense of routine and comfort, which can be particularly important during times of stress and uncertainty. Hunger can lead to irritability, mood swings, and behavioral issues, all of which can disrupt the classroom environment and hinder learning.

Snacks, often considered an essential part of our daily diet, play a crucial role in maintaining mental health by providing essential nutrients, by stabilizing mood and supporting cognitive function.

I am asking for snacks, fidget toys, and motivational pencils and sharpener, to help my students when they are having mental health issues and anxiety related behaviors.

As a teacher of students with disabilities, incorporating snacks in my classroom will be a priority to support the mental health and wellbeing of my students.
