Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come from families with low income and many are housing insecure. They rely heavily on our school lunch and public assistance. While some students bring snacks, not everyone is able to afford it.

Learning on an empty stomach does not lead to academic gains, and our students deserve better!

Sometimes a few students bring snacks for their peers: let's help them with their generosity by providing a pantry! Having a snack pantry in our school will promote kindness and help fight hunger.

Thank you for helping us support our students who have food and housing insecurities.
