Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help my scholars to stay focused by filling their tummies! I teach bright and beautiful children in a high-need area of New York City. While all of my students receive free or reduced-price breakfast and lunch, some of our families are newcomers to the country and sometimes can't afford to give their children snacks for the day, and my students are often hungry throughout the day. My students need snacks such as crackers, SkinnyPop, juice, and water to keep them focused and energized for learning all day long! These snacks would give my students enough energy to stay focused on learning and grow their brains throughout the day!

If we can make sure they get a snack, they will be able to focus better and really build the fundamental knowledge necessary for them to move on to the next grade and continue to be successful throughout the school.
