This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a teacher in a school with a high percentage of students from low socioeconomic backgrounds, I see firsthand the challenges they face both inside and outside the classroom. Many of my students come to school without access to nutritious food at home, which impacts their ability to focus, participate, and fully engage in their learning. By providing healthy snacks in the classroom, I aim to ensure that all my students have the fuel they need to succeed academically and feel their best throughout the school day.
Healthy snacks such as protein sticks and crackers can make a significant difference in my students' energy levels and concentration.
By making these options readily available, I hope to create a learning environment where hunger is never a barrier to success. This project will not only help improve their physical well-being but also enhance their academic engagement, allowing them to participate more actively in classroom activities and discussions. Your support in bringing healthy snacks to my classroom will have a lasting impact on my students' overall well-being and academic achievement.
