My Project

I am teaching a very bright group of fifth grade students this year! With that being said, bright minds require fuel. This year, we have a late lunch in 5th grade. Our lunch is not until 1:00pm, which requires us to have a snack time mid-way through our day. Not all of my students bring snacks due to circumstances at home. I would like all of my students to have an opportunity to refuel their minds and bodies halfway through our day.

I also use candy in 5th grade to incentivize positive behaviors.

For example, if I see a student doing their work quietly and following directions, I will place a piece of candy on their desk to thank them and encourage their peers to acquire those same attributes.
