Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many times students are irritated and cannot focus because they are hungry. The school’s breakfast and lunch menu many times isn’t enough for kids that come to school hungry. A lot of times, kids need a quick snack to help them focus. These snacks will change my students' moods from cranky, hungry and unfocused to being content and ready to learn. Many days have students complained about being hungry at school.

Help my students meet their need for food in order to attain knowledge.

Being hungry can lead to lack of effort and focus in the classroom. For the kids, the teacher is their provider and facilitator in all aspects of their needs. However, it is difficult and costly to provide all students with food every day. Please help my students be hungry for knowledge instead of food.
